They are looking for someone to hit the ground running, get hands on and to bring their knowledge and experience in helping to establish the best practice for efficient and effective BI Reporting Role Overview To meet the agreed reporting requirements and to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to understand objectives and performance drivers. It will be your responsibility to act as a Subject Matter Expert in defining the right KPIs and operational metrics so that you can continually develop reporting outputs that enable performance to be managed and improved. You should be able to set-up and maintain a pipeline of development and analytical work, reviewed and prioritised on a regular basis. You will have experience in the maintenance and development of the MI data model enabling one version of the truth throughout the business. Collaboration is important as you will be required to support in the provision of insight and capacity plans, which will provide data to support project and change impact analysis as required as well as any other trend and volume drivers. Accurate written and oral communication is essential as you will create and maintain mechanisms for capturing and reporting benefit impacts from any changes to process or other improvements and to ensure that all process documentation and reporting definitions are kept up to date Accountabilities: The completion of timely and accurate updates for all Services BI Creative report design and visualisation to make decision making easier and more efficient To be the custodian of all KPI definitions Ownership of the Member Services BI data model All analytical, business and process modelling capability Providing the data to identify future skilling requirements and gaps in operational teams Person Specification Work predominantly under own initiative, following agreed processes, but also to continuously improve their own processes and wider business reporting & governance High level of personal drive and energy to set and achieve short and longer-term targets. Hands on experience of Power BI development including data modelling and report development using DAX and Power Query (M) is essential. Build and improve complex SQL scripts to extract data from source systems (SQL Server) is essential (knowledge of R or Python is desirable) Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with a high degree of competency in using them in the production of reports Excellent numeric and data manipulation skills A proven track record in business intelligence, ideally within financial services or regulated industry Experience of working within a back office or client customer/ member facing telephony environment An ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, ideally with experience of producing stakeholder packs and MI reports/ dashboards A strong customer focus coupled with a sound commercial awareness.
