The Student Applications and Data team is a division of Global Information Services and is responsible for the digital student experience and the staff systems associated with it. Currently, they are launching a big initiative to revamp these technologies into a "Lifelong Learning Platform." This will enhance the online experience for students and support a variety of new offerings from the university, such as fully online programs, short courses, and a broader selection of on-campus options. Role of the Business Analyst: The selected applicant will report to the Product Manager and work closely with the Student Applications & Data team as well as the larger user community to analyse the detailed needs and inform the general direction and development of student systems. The selected candidate will also work closely with academic colleagues and students, IS employees, third-party vendors, and all of the major stakeholders, including our international campuses, to plan and manage continuous system improvements, re-implementations, and new initiatives. In addition, they will examine and redesign associated procedures, implement enhanced linkages with other systems, and assist in planning the elimination of outmoded systems. This position specifically requires a candidate with extensive knowledge of business analysis and business process design. Working in a small team, you will have experience as a Business Analyst or Business Process Designer with exposure to business change initiatives. You must be computer savvy and have a working knowledge of data linkages, table structures, and process flows. You must be able to demonstrate everyday experience communicating with relevant stakeholders.
