Business Analyst (Applications / Data Migration) Telford, Shropshire / Remote (2 days onsite / 3 days remotely) 6 months initially £400 - £450pd inside IR35 On behalf of our leading defence client Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) Morson are recruiting a Business Analyst to support RBSL?s IT Transformation Programme which will support the company?s growth trajectory and will look to develop new manufacturing capabilities, facilities, tools and IT infrastructure as part of a multi-million pound investment over the coming 2 years. This will be a hybrid role 2 days/week on site / 3 days remotely. With considerable investment in new IT infrastructure and tooling, this is an exciting opportunity to work on development of a whole new network architecture, including secure datacentres, LAN and WAN alongside opportunities to manage the migration of existing applications and roll out of new, mission critical capabilities in SAP and TeamCentre PLM to enable RBSL to deliver the military capabilities for the future of the British Army. ROLE PURPOSE: Review, analyse and evaluate business systems and user needs for the programme. Document requirements, define scope and objectives and work with the business and architects in the construction of solutions and work packages to deliver the objectives of the programmes. Work with solution architects in transforming requirements into solutions. Support User Acceptance Testing for the client. AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: 1. Support the documentation and execution defined and agreed Migration and Systems requirements 2. Work with the Business in the documentation of Business Requirements 3. Execution of defined Business test scripts for the key test phases of the programme. 4. Work with 3rd parties in translating requirements into fit for purpose solutions to meet the 5. Facilitate sessions with the Business in order to define scope and requirements to mee the ES programme objectives. DEPENDENCIES & KEY RELATIONSHIPS: ? Programme workstreams ? Conducting meetings and presentations to evaluate and record business requirements. ? Performing requirements analysis. ? Documenting and communicating the results into a set of requirements to support migration of infrastructure, Data, applications and Services. ? Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management. ? Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports. ? Working closely with business, 3rd Parties, technicians, and managerial staff. ? Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff. ? Work with 3rd parties and Architects in transforming requirements into fit for purpose solutions. ? Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements. ? Work with Business and Testers during user acceptance testing. ? Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements. ? Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and business users. SUPPORTING INFORMATION Requires proven track record of business analysis and requirements capture. Experience of working with 3rd parties in converting requirements into solutions. Preferable experience of Data or Application Migration delivery. Experience of working with Business (Preferably Manufacturing/ Defence). Excellent communicator with the ability of facilitating workshops to extract Business users requirements and translating into a concise set of requirements documentation. The key deliverables the client is looking for from the BA?s are ? Maintaining their requirements log and turning this into a requirements traceability matrix ? Create Systems/Applications documents to support application migration ? Identify data migration requirements ? Support in the migration/packaging of applications and also help test migrated apps ? Help create Process documents in the service management area ? Gather requirements for EUC/SOC/SIEM/Service Management
