Lead of the Data Community in London, Manchester, or Bristol (1 or 2 days per week on-site) Contract for 5 months Our public sector client is currently looking for a Data Community Lead to join them on a 5-month initial contract, working within IR35. The ideal candidate will have the following abilities/knowledge: Grow data communities, including the Data Architecture, API, and Data Sharing Practitioners communities, and connect with other communities by organising and facilitating conversations and events, ensuring that everyone involved has a good understanding of what is going on across DS&S. Provide advice and guidance to people across DS&S to help them understand the value that communities can bring to their work and how to take advantage of those opportunities. Create data communities that welcome, respect, and support a diverse group of people. Connect with external communities and events to help them understand the work of Data Strategy and Standards and the relevant communities, as well as the opportunities to collaborate with us. This comprises Connecting Data Ensure that what we learn is documented and distributed in order to establish standards and contribute to larger technical communities, for example, by writing and distributing blogs, newsletters, and so on. Assist members of the data community in finding opportunities to advance in their careers. Maintain your technical knowledge of data and decide how to best stay connected to the work being done in the community. Support your counterparts in other parts of government and create an active community in which everyone in data across government can belong and participate.
