Data Migration Lead (Hybrid, FTC) We are currently recruiting for a Data Migration Lead to join the Programme Delivery team in a large Charitable organisation on a 24-month Fixed Term Contract. You will be responsible for planning and delivering the migration of data from the organisations existing CRM into the Microsoft Dataverse & Dynamics 365 via their cloud-based data warehouse. The Company You?ll be joining a leading independent charity with a strong social purpose, who are going through a period of significant change. The organisation is embarking on a 3-year project to bring in a new CRM platform, which will ultimately to be the foundation of their future growth. This role will play an active part in ensuring the successful delivery of their Data Migration project, which will support the organisation?s future strategy. The Role We are looking for someone who has previously been involved in a data migration project, with experience creating a set of mapping documentation to agree what data will be moved into the new CRM and create a set of pipelines to migrate data into the target data model. Day to day responsibilities involve working with the Data Services team and other members of Technical Delivery to identify and deliver any required changes to the data warehouse; work with internal and external stakeholders to define the scope and methodology of the data migration. You will act as a subject matter expert on data migration both within the CRM Change Programme and the wider organisations? team. Alongside designing, planning, and documenting a repeatable migration process from existing databases into the new CRM. Skills needed: Strong SQL skills, adept at querying large datasets using SQL and SSIS Experience of ETL concepts A resourceful, logical and analytical mind, curious to find errors and excellent at solving problems and implementing solutions A stickler for high standards and good quality, confident in your knowledge and how to derive maximum value for the organisation while working within the governance framework Ability to work on your own and within a team environment Good communication skills capable of clear & structured documentation, with the ability to turn technical understanding into clearly and understandable information and advice for internal customers. Strong time management skills, with an ability to prioritise and plan while always paying the utmost attention to detail Desirable Experience: Tools such as Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, Talend, Mulesoft, Boomi, KingswaySoft, etc Experience with Dynamics would be an advantage but is not essential Understanding of an Agile environment Someone with a background in project management, development tools (Jira, DevOps or similar) or an agile methodology. Benefits Salary up to £60,000 per annum Flexible, Hybrid working 25 days? annual leave, including bank holidays (pro rata for part-time/fixed term contracts) Annual leave entitlement increases by an extra day per full year of service, up to 30 days a year Pension Scheme- The organisation will contribute 7.5% of your basic salary.
