Your new company An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a public bodies Strategic Programmes ICT team and ERP programme as a data quality engineer. They are currently undertaking a procurement process to select a new ERP supplier. Working along side business SME?s and support partners we will be cleaning our core business data, improving it?s quality, increasing the confidence in this data and embed a culture of data-driven decision making before migration to the new system. About the role My client is looking for Data Quality Engineers to become the subject matter experts within the business on a new initiative to clean our business data enabling the council to operate with increased efficiency and support data driven decisions. You will be involved in the design, build, implementation, support and ongoing development of data quality solutions and processes. You will work closely with colleagues in HR, Finance and Procurement to improve existing data quality and maintenance processes and where required identify technical solutions which increase efficiency and performance. You will use your expertise to deliver advice and guidance on data quality improvement and best practices, documentation and develop data quality tools and techniques in collaborate with subject matter experts in our core functional business areas. What you need to succeed: You will be educated to degree level, professional qualification or equivalent in a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience and have ITIL 3 Foundation qualification. You will have significant experience working with Microsoft development tools & cloud technologies in the Azure technology stack (Data Lakes and Data warehouses) with a high proficiency with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, SSRS, SSAS You will be able to demonstrate In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework and ideally have a background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modelling) and data mining You will have advanced knowledge of SQL queries; TSQL or PL/SQL A strong 'problem-solver', you will be a strong communicator with effective time management skills and able to respond to complex and constantly changing work priorities.
