Data Scientist - FTC Location: London The client A global and well-established advertising company with a focus on audience engagement are searching for Data scientist to join them on a fixed term basis Your responsibilities Recommend sources of data and work with the BA team, SMEs & IT to get representative samples. Perform exploratory data analysis and support development of the project business case as required Apply suitable mathematical and statistical algorithms and enhance or create new algorithms as necessary to achieve the goals following one or more of the approaches previously mentioned. Interact with other members of the department and wider data science team, locally and globally, in the definition, improvement and implementation of data integration algorithms and strategies Take ownership of the problems and solutions from a data science point of view and represent those data driven solutions to the project team and stakeholders as appropriate. Participating in team knowledge sharing and presentations Contribute to and import new and necessary data modelling and methodology approaches, by initial prototyping and testing in the project context Provide support for the phases of IT integration of the data driven projects by proposing key metrics and assisting with the evaluation of model and algorithmic performance in acceptance testing and production cycles. Your experience Must Haves: Very strong mathematical and statistical skills, and with a good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of shallow and deep learning algorithms Programming and data analysis experience in Python and its commonly used data science libraries Skilled in working with large and complex datasets with a keen eye for detail and accuracy Written and spoken English Desirable: Cloud experience with data processing tools (e.g., DataBricks) and MLOps exposure Direct experience of solving computer vision, audio, NLP, time-series and non-trivial recognition/classification problems at scale Basic Spanish and/or Portuguese (pt-BR preferred) What's next?
