6 months as a database administrator outside of IR35 3 times per week Our Public Sector client in Glasgow is looking to hire a key member of the PMS-IC team who will be in charge of providing and supporting the company's Databases and Data Infrastructure, which are critical for research and commercial services. Your primary duty is to create, support, and manage database products and services. You will develop and support products and services that are efficient, secure, perform optimally, and are aligned with business goals and objectives while supporting the day-to-day operation, security, and delivery of our database services. The position holder will help with configuration data maintenance, capacity planning, data governance and security, database service availability and continuity. Essential Capability to demonstrate the competencies required to perform the duties associated with this level of post after acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills in a similar or a number of different roles. Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 9 in Computing Science or a related discipline (Ordinary Degree, Scottish Vocational Qualification level 4) or equivalent (including professional accreditation with relevant formal Training), and personal development experience in a similar or related role (s). Excellent technical knowledge in a variety of IT areas, with a focus on SQL databases and data governance. SQL Server Administration and Postgres SQL Database Experience Understanding of the computing needs of a diverse range of staff and commercial partners. Desirable Data Management and Analytics Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE). ITIL certified Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
