Power BI Developer £450 a day, inside IR35 2-3 month contract Hybrid working, 3 days a week on-site Your new company A partly publicly funded body which aims to advance geoscientific knowledge of the UK via systematic surveying, monitoring and research Your new role ? The organisation sees data, and the insights from it, as critical to achieving its goals and therefore, as a data visualisation specialist, you will play a key role in creating insightful, interactive, and aesthetically pleasing reporting solutions in Power BI. ? You will be an expert in taking content from complex data sources (financial management system, resource management system etc) to inform business decisions and will work as part of a Project Management Office to build and develop Power BI models and reports to improve and enhance dissemination of data. ? The role will design and deliver business information dashboards for leadership stakeholders including the Board and programme management teams. ? Creation of training and knowledge share materials etc. to disseminate information and upskill users of the dashboard and Power BI tools created. What you'll need to succeed ? Comfortable working with customers to define requirements, scope works and to deliver user training. ? Must have strong experience Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, DAX and SQL. ? Must have good analysis skills to produce practical solutions to a range of problems. ? Specialist analytics skills including modelling, data preparation, visualisation and story-telling. ? Experience in analysing and interpreting large datasets, deriving insight, themes and trends from datasets. ? Design and optimise navigation features in Power BI to guide users through a compelling data story. ? Good understanding of statistics and data collection, analysis and reporting. ? Develop calculations and measures that are accurate and performant on large datasets.
