Senior Data Engineer - 6 Month Contract - Remote Working - £43.50 Hourly Rate (Umbrella) - Full Time Hours - To Start ASAP Your new company A large NHS organisation is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build, test and maintain the data architecture. Your new role You will be responsible for design, implementation and delivery of a new platform. The role will work as part of a team for implementing a new data integration platform designed for end-to-end usage by a wide range of users across the organization and wider multiple stakeholders. You will be leading the data engineers and working closely with several stakeholders. The role will be responsible to ensure compounding value is created through shared data, common ontologies, and cross-organisation projects. The role will involve driving forward improvements in data services including the development and implementation of a new data platform and roll out of platform for analytics and reporting What you'll need to succeed Essential: 5 years minimum experience and senior position previously held Fluent in SQL Systems (MySQL, PostegreSQL, Microsoft SQL) ETL solutions - Must have ETL skills to build processes to move data between systems Data warehouse software - The ability to set up a cloud-based data warehouse and connecting data to it Proficiency in in Python, Spark and PySpark Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area Desirable: Healthcare industry Experience.
