The Role This position will see you working across a vast array of business challenges across the entire data science spectrum in order to aid data driven decision making. This means you will be tasked with keeping up best practices and keeping up-to-date with the most innovative techniques as you work on data sets related to various aspects of the online platform whether marketing related, financials, or course content led. Currently the team are focused on improving their recommendation engine and previously deployed a machine learning model that forecasted their main KPI?s. You will work alongside other members of the data science team, part of the wider data & analytics function, using cutting edge languages such as Python, AWS, Snowflake and Looker, whilst also mentoring more junior colleagues within the data science team. The Candidate The successful candidate will possess the following essential skills and experience: A STEM Degree from a well regarded university Excellent knowledge of various Python languages such as: Pandas, Seaborn, NumPy, etc 2 years commercial experience with machine learning and statistical techniques A desire to constantly upskill themselves Experience in communicating technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders Experience of cloud tools such as AWS, GCP or Azure Knowledge of complex version control systems such as Git/Github Job Owner:£d.prosser Tagged as: Python, SQL
