Role overview: This role sits in the Technical team providing support to a wide variety of projects with a particular focus on technical pensions issues within these projects, as well as assisting with complex member casework, complaints handling and supporting the core Member Services? teams. Main tasks & responsibilities: Provide technical support for bulk project work, including data analysis, individual and bulk calculations and system updates. Carrying out calculations, validating data and supporting the core Member Services teams with high value or technically complex cases. Support pension administration system amendments to calculations and background data tables as required Develop/maintain spreadsheet calculations used to test system and run calculations that system is not able to process. Support the ongoing monitoring of strength of operational and system controls to reduce risk to the Scheme. Keep up to date with relevant legislation and regulations, assisting in disseminating the information to the wider team. Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of team specific processes including system specifications, data, Scheme rules and procedures. Compliance with Data Protection/Health and Safety/Quality Management processes and procedures. Other duties, as required. Person Specification Candidate Profile: Strong pensions knowledge including HMRC rules & regulations and pensions/employer legislation. Strong numeric, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate / interact at all levels within the organisation. Well organised.
