BigData Java Developer is the role. Salary: £100,000-£120,000 Working Style: Hybrid (2 days per week in London) We have a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level Big Data Java Developer to join a globally recognised fin-tech firm that specialises in electronic messaging, data supervision, and archiving. This company works with some of the world's largest banks and trading companies, and we are looking for a skilled developer to work on exciting greenfield projects with them. As a Big Data Java Developer, you will work as part of a small but dynamic team that is in charge of the back-end development of a highly scalable reporting and analytics application. You will drive autonomy and performance while constructing a completely new data lake. To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications: Working with Java for over three years in the commercial sector Experience building/developing ETL/ELT pipelines for over two years Knowledge and skills in Spark, Hadoop, and other Apache platforms are required. Working experience in a Big Data environment As a Big Data Java Developer, you will be exposed to: Creating an entirely new data lake Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, CRC, and Docker is required. Experience with Vert.x frameworks Splunk is used on a regular basis. This is a hybrid position that requires two days per week in London. It is a permanent position with a salary of up to £100,000 per year.
