Your new position The position is a consultant MS SQL data engineer within the Commodities Technology Risk team, reporting to the global Real-time Risk & PnL lead in London. The team creates and maintains a strategic platform that manages real-time risk and profit and loss data for the commodities industry. What you will require to succeed Expertise in querying and efficient T-SQL programming. Expertise in table design, normalisation, and column optimization. Expertise in systematic query performance optimisation, including excellent understanding query optimiser behaviour and low-level operators. Expertise in column store table modelling and optimization. SQL server expertise in handling large volumes of transaction data comprehension of performance troubleshooting (detecting locks, waits, bad plans, etc).
