*Remote WFH UK* Data Scientist to £65k Are you an MSc / PhD qualified Data Scientist with strong commercial experience looking for a new opportunity? You could be joining a well-funded and rapidly growing hotel revenue optimisation technology start-up that uses AI and complex algorithms to allow hotels to price their rooms based on demand; this is a £7 billion a year industry with a high demand for the product. As a Data Scientist, you will work with a cross-functional team to solve a variety of complex and challenging problems, primarily real-time pricing systems that use client and other external data to understand real-time market forces affecting demand (e.g., weather forecasts, event scheduling) and react to those forces to price accordingly. You will contribute to the algorithm's capabilities by incorporating new data sources, incorporating Bayesian statistics, and enabling new algorithm-driven product features. You'll manage end-to-end data science projects from concept to productization, all while working in a diverse and collaborative, technology-driven environment where your voice will be heard. Policy of WFH: There is a remote interview and onboarding process, and you can work from home full-time from anywhere in the UK, or meet with colleagues in the London office as often as you want. Requirements: You have extensive commercial experience as a Data Scientist. You have a strong academic record, having earned an MSc or PhD in a relevant field. You enjoy building data models, understand how they work, and how to improve them. You are familiar with Machine Learning algorithms and Bayesian statistics / theory. You are proficient in Python coding, including Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, and NumPy. You can automate algorithms and work from start to finish. You are a collaborative problem solver who is eager to take charge.
