Central Government Data Scientist We are currently on the lookout for a Data Scientist to assist with the automation pipeline and dashboard development. This unit collaborates closely with the Ministers and the Secretary to provide accurate, timely data to improve decisions and identify problems as they arise. The job will entail the following responsibilities: establishing data flows from various sources and developing technological solutions such as APIs Using Python and SQL scripting languages to structure and transform data, as well as deploy various extensions and custom applications Creating innovative, clear, and engaging products for analysis communication, such as interactive data visualisation tools Creating working practises and repositories that allow for a repeatable pipeline process that can be reused for future data versions The candidate must have experience in the following areas: strong coding with Python and SQL Github and its use in the coding process Working with databases, structured and unstructured data, and massive amounts of raw operation data Creating interactive dashboards, ideally with Plotly Dash Daily rate: £500-600 (Inside IR35) Initial contract length is three months.
