Contract for a period of 12 months £27,929 to £30,502 The position: The Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for assisting the Market Insight Manager in influencing marketing strategy through the use of data and trends, as well as supporting regional and demographic targeting for events, advertising, and enquirer and applicant communications. The position holder will be in charge of creating reports and dashboards that help teams visualise and understand applicant behaviour, such as event booking and attendance, enquiries, applications, and conversion. The Marketing Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering and presenting a wide range of data in order to provide a comprehensive picture of the impact of marketing activities and to inform strategic and operational planning. Responsibilities: 1. Take charge of data collection and analysis to inform and support marketing strategy and activity planning in undergraduate and postgraduate, domestic and international markets. 2. Ensure data integrity within the University's CRM system by making system enhancement recommendations to the Market Insight Manager and CRM, Content and Rich Media Manager. 3. Assume the role of data expert, performing complex data manipulation and producing detailed and reliable statistical data in a variety of formats. 4. To advise colleagues throughout the Directorate on appropriate data selections for email and outbound telemarketing campaigns, as well as to create appropriate selections. 5. Evaluate the effectiveness of CRM calling campaigns, recommending the use of control groups to provide accurate management information. 6. To take an active role in improving data collection and analysis from recruitment events in collaboration with colleagues. 7. Collaborate with the Senior CRM Officer and Market Insight Manager to identify new data sources and market research needs in order to inform and enable additional marketing campaigns. 8. Collaborate closely with other members of the Advertising, Marketing, and Student Insight team to coordinate intelligence derived from market and student behaviour data, identifying any data gaps required to inform marketing plans and product development analysis. 9. The ability to analyse large data sets effectively, identifying trends and key marketing and recruitment opportunities. 10. Tailor data dashboards and written reports to specialist and non-specialist audiences, with the ability to present data clearly and effectively, using market insight to inform strategy. 11. Create appropriate dashboarding and data visualisation tools to encourage self-service analytics and improve data accessibility. 12.
