Power BI Developer - Hybrid - Outside of IR35 Our client in the insurance industry is currently looking for an Outside IR35 Power BI Developer to join their team. This would be a hybrid role, with the client site in London. The client is looking for a self-motivated individual with strong technical skills and experience to work in the Underwriting Performance and Actuarial Teams. You will be directly responsible to the Director of Underwriting Performance and Management. Working with the actuarial and performance management teams to develop Power BI reporting for internal and external use will be part of this role. Experience in the insurance or financial services industries would be advantageous. Responsibilities in the Role: Power BI report creation for the actuarial and underwriting performance management teams. Ability to develop reports independently and review them in a timely manner. Strong technical skills in Microsoft technologies, Power BI, and SQL scripting. Creating Power BI reports by connecting a variety of data sources. Power BI reporting expertise is required. Expertise in the creation of reports and dashboards. It is preferable to have strategic business knowledge and an understanding of the insurance industry. SQL expertise is required (data extraction and enrichment using advanced functions). Understanding of ETL using a variety of data sources. Capable of interrogating, manipulating, cleansing, and transforming data. Worked in an agile environment using Azure DevOps. Understanding Insurance and Reinsurance Excellent networking, communication, and negotiating abilities. Adaptability in a rapidly changing business environment. Superior decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Ability to diagnose problems quickly and anticipate potential problems.
