The ideal candidate will be proactive and a great communicator, willing to suggest new ways of working and move them forward. The company offers hybrid working, with the expectation that you will come to the York office on a weekly basis to meet with the team and key stakeholders. Your new position Integrate new data sources into the data warehouse to provide new analytical capabilities to the business. Assist project teams and developers with technical leadership, mentoring, governance, and advice. Gather, comprehend, and translate business requirements into useful outputs. Stakeholders can be influenced and advised by providing recommendations. Create ETL processes that use the Kimball methodology to convert data into business-friendly terms and populate the Data Warehouse. Create data models and theoretical data structures to meet reporting needs. Create simple-to-understand reporting objects that can be understood and used by non-technical power users throughout the organisation. Create valuable, interactive BI by creating data visualisations and reporting with tools like Microsoft Power BI. Ensure that business users have the information and context they need to fully understand data, allowing them to make critical decisions that support the delivery of the business plan. What you will require to succeed Experience in a BI role that is relevant SQL expertise is required. Practical experience with ETL tools Extensive experience with Power BI or other BI visualisation tools Experience with Synapse analytics or other analytical tools is required. Capability to interpret requirements from multiple stakeholders and provide practical solutions Capability to communicate with all levels of the organisation What you'll get in exchange On-site parking is free.
