SoCode are currently working with one of the largest, well-known companies building these computers, based here in Cambridge. This company are looking to rapidly grow over the next year and are now looking to for a senior software engineer to develop their cloud infrastructure and application services for their quantum computing platform. You DO NOT need an existing knowledge of quantum products as this role is a Python software engineering focused role. An interest in quantum computing with a maths and physics background would be favourable. The ideal candidate for this role will be experienced in taking user needs from concept to implementation and be confident in making technical decisions as part of a team. What's Ideal? ?5+ years experience of professional software engineering ?Confidence in leading engineering discussions and decision making ?Experience developing in Python ?Experience working with Postgresql or similar database technologies ?Experience working with Terraform or other ?Infrastructure as Code? tools ?Experience deploying software to managed cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure etc ?Experience working with or a desire to learn Rust What's Desirable? ?Experience working in Kubernetes ?Knowledge of/Interest in Quantum Computing ?Knowledge of common distributed system architectures ?Experience developing in Typescript Working with a highly talented team in Cambridge, you will work with some of the best known names in Quantum Computing.
