Your new role As the Data and BI Manager, you will be in charge of leading the organisation as a whole. You will also be responsible for making the data and information more useful by managing how it is collected, stored, and used. This includes making sure the data is accurate, giving business users accurate reports and visualisations, improving the organization's understanding of data, and leading the team that creates analytics to help with strategic and operational decision making. In this role, you will lead on data and information across the organisation by being a passionate advocate for the power of data. You will also work with both technical and non-technical key stakeholders across the organisation to meet their data and information needs. You will support and maintain a data management infrastructure that makes it possible for the whole organisation to use data effectively. You will do this by putting in place processes, policies, and systems that keep data accurate. You will also bring in new skills and technology to help the organisation move from just reporting on data to using predictive analytics in a way that leads to good business results. You will do this by making sure your data and information team works well and efficiently. You will do this through evaluations, communication, and working together with your team. How to succeed and what you'll need PRINCE2/Agile/ITIL certification is the best qualification for data analytics or BI adventurous Experience leading a group of people who work with data and information Considerable experience understanding complex data and information problems. Experience using BI tools like PowerBI and Qlik. Experience getting projects done on time by using project management skills Knowledge of the data protection laws and information security standards that apply It's important to have good social and communication skills.
