Business Finance Analyst - Non-IR35 Our client is looking for a highly skilled Project Manager to join their Wythall-based team on a 6-week contract basis. Because this is a hybrid position, you must be present in the office. THIS ROLE IS OUTSIDE OF IR35. The function You will provide quality financial data and analysis to finance teams and the business as our new Business Finance Analyst. You will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of month-end reporting, monthly operational processes, and performing controls over key balance sheet reconciliations and the production of associated accounting. You will also be responsible for identifying and communicating issues discovered during your analysis, as well as implementing corrective actions. Principal responsibilities: Own and manage a variety of financial processes that ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial ledger data. Assist in the ongoing delivery of robust, effective, and efficient operational, financial, and control processes and controls. Account reconciliations for a variety of balance sheet accounts are prepared. Own the month-end ledger processes and ensure that the ledger closes cleanly and accurately. Develop process and procedural improvements to improve accuracy, control, and efficiency. Recognize problems and take corrective action. Assist in the fulfilment of external reporting requirements. Control gaps have been identified, and solutions have been developed and implemented to provide assurance over financial processes. Interact with auditors and respond to audit questions. Maintain an evidence/audit trail as needed to ensure compliance with relevant procedures and processes. What exactly are we looking for? Higher level (or equivalent) education, preferably with a numerate subject such as Mathematics or Accounting. It is advantageous if you have a diploma or degree in an accounting-related discipline. Accounting knowledge and experience, as well as experience working in a financial services environment, are required. It is advantageous to have knowledge of financial systems and controls, as well as knowledge of relevant source/business systems. Analytical abilities are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to form strong working relationships. Excellent computer skills, with demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office packages. Capability to produce high-quality output within tight deadlines while adapting to changing external demands. Experience in a changing environment is preferred.
