Your new company Hays Technology has partnered with a reputable public sector client, looking for a Junior data protection officer to join their team for a period of 3 months (with possibility of extension). This role will pay £18.50 per hour (via Umbrella). This role will incorporate hybrid working, you will be required to be on site in Salford, Manchester 1-2 days per week. Your new role The role holder will champion Information Governance across the organisation, providing guidance and advice on general enquiries. The Information Governance Officer will be the first point of contact for all access to information requests, Data Sharing queries and will ensure Data Sharing agreements are in place. What you'll need to succeed In order to be considered for this role you must demonstrate experience within the following areas: Excellent communication skills orally and in writing. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with customers, senior managers Courteous and effective when dealing with people. Able to exchange information in a tactful and diplomatic manner, communicating effectively at all levels. An ability to confidently challenge colleagues and ensure compliance with processes. Excellent problem-solving skills. An ability to prioritise and manage own workload and operate largely autonomously within set guidelines. Influential, focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure. Excellent IT administrative and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to research and succinctly present information compiled from large and varying data sources.
